About the YFRP Audience
We surveyed our students and received some great insights about their challenges, motivations, etc. that we think you may find helpful.
Here are our most common answers we received to a couple key questions in the survey:
Illustrative of Emotional States
Illustrative of Interests
Illustrative of Course Features
Favorite Quotes
These are all illustrative of prospective students who've had their eyes on the idea of real estate for a little bit, vs. people who've just been introduced to the idea of real estate as an investment vehicle.
All of these are covered in the course, and many of these points will be addressed in our free webinars.
Anecdotal Audience Overview
YFRP is most interesting to people who want to diversify their investment portfolio beyond just stocks & index funds, and are looking to accelerate their FI timeline through the higher returns they can get from real estate investment due to its blend of "part investment, part business."
Most of our students are high-earners and living in relatively high cost of living areas, which pretty much necessitates investing in a city where they don't currently live if they want to get the highest returns possible, as high cost of living areas generally equate to less profitable investment opportunities.
Anecdotally, that's one of the biggest objections we hear from potential students; something like, "But everything in my city is so expensive; there's no way I could afford to invest." — Our webinar about how to invest if you live in a high cost of living area addresses this.
Another common concern people have is wondering if they've "missed the boat" and if it's too late for them to find good deals that can earn money.
Prospective students also tend to have generalized anxiety about making such a large purchase – buying a house is scarier than buying a few shares of an index fund – as well as concerns that they're too busy to take on this new responsibility.
We will cover all of this (and more!) in our webinar series.
We're excited to have you on board!
